In April of this year, Kunitachi College of Music launched Japan's first "Music Data Science Course" a new course that uses scientific methods centered on data science (DS) to analyze music. Meanwhile, College established Japan's first Faculty of Data Science in 2017, and has been a leader in DS education in Japan.
Data science has a wide range of application fields, but when it is combined with deep knowledge and experience in that field, it creates significant value. It is expected that new data-based education and research will bring about significant results within the rich music education and research at Kunitachi College of Music Music. Adding College 's knowledge and practical programs to this mix will hopefully create a chemistry between the two, expanding new areas of knowledge.
Please see here for the announcement of the deal.
