Library
In addition to 400,000 items, primarily music-related, our library also boasts a wealth of valuable materials, including first editions of Beethoven's sheet music and early modern Japanese music. Whether you consider the number of books, the composition of the collection, or library activities, it's no exaggeration to say that the library is the "center of music research in Japan." The entire building was renovated and reopened in November 2016, and a library hall was created for various study sessions and events, as well as study rooms where students can use books and computers related to classes and student life. The reference library and AV floors have also been renovated, providing a place for students to relax during their free time between classes.
