19 people passed the 2025 public school teacher recruitment exam!
The results of the 2025 public school teacher recruitment (2026 recruitment) have been announced, with 19 current students and graduates (including course students) passing the exam. (As of January 15, 2026, based on reports from the students themselves.)
In addition to Tokyo, successful applicants have been reported from Fukushima, Ehime, Chiba, and Ibaraki prefectures. In addition to current and former students from Department of Music Cultures & Education, many successful applicants have come from Department of Performance & Composition, including vocal, piano, and stringed, wind, and percussion instruments.
In addition to school education, students' courses range widely, including piano instruction, brass band instruction, conductor/répétiteur, jazz, and string orchestra player.
We have also received reports of students being accepted into private schools, and the opportunities for our current students and graduates to excel are expanding.
This can be seen as a result of strengthening basic skills in the foundational courses in years 1 and 2, and deepening expertise in the specialized courses and courses in years 3 and 4. We hope that each student will further hone their specialized knowledge and skills and fully demonstrate their abilities in the educational field.
Current students and alumni who have not yet reported this to the university should contact the Student Support Division immediately.
