About Diploma Course

Starting in 2019, Kunitachi College of Music has established a "Diploma Course" for those who are at the level of a music College graduate and wish to further their studies in their major. This course consists of five courses: vocal, piano solo/ensemble, string instruments, wind and percussion instruments, and jazz instrumental (note: jazz piano is not offered), and students are eligible to enroll in almost all major instruments offered at our college.

Course Features

Diploma Course is centered around practical lessons taught by our college faculty, and aims to pursue advanced expertise. This course caters to those with a strong desire to study music, whether they are preparing for further education or a career, or taking the course as a place to attend two schools at the same time.

To enroll in this course, you must pass a selection exam. To complete the course, you must be enrolled for a total of two years or more and, if approved by your instructor, take and pass the final exam. The total enrollment period for the course is limited to five years, and enrollment registration must be completed through the required procedures each year. In principle, the instructors in charge are faculty members our college.

*The practical lessons in Diploma Course are not equivalent to the courses taken at our college, and therefore will not be recognized as credits. Please see "Advanced Course" for information on the course registration system, which allows students to take designated courses at our college and earn a certain number of credits.
*Student discount certificates and school attendance certificates will not be issued.
