Policy regarding the organization and implementation of the curriculum
Our educational objective is to acquire the qualities and abilities set forth in the Graduation Certification Policy, and will organize and implement its curriculum in accordance with the following policy.
- The first and second years are the "basic course," and the third and fourth years are the "specialized course."
- In the basic course, in addition to "core subjects" that teach the basics of the major, there are "Basic Subjects" such as basic seminars, basic music exercises, basic music education, and foreign language communication, so that students can acquire the basics of practical skills and knowledge centered on music. In addition, basic information society education is placed in the "Basic Subjects" to enhance the basic knowledge of the information society.
- In the specialized course, in addition to specialized subjects, students will study various areas of music in a more specialized manner, further deepening their learning. With an eye on their future careers after graduation, we have established a "course system" as a program (subject group) to further enhance their expertise and hone skills outside of their specialty.
- Throughout all academic years, students will acquire a wide range of knowledge through "Liberal Liberal Arts" divided into four worlds of inquiry and "Common Elective Subjects" that can be taken regardless of their department or major.
- The learning outcomes acquired through the courses listed in 1 to 4 will be properly evaluated using GPA and other measures.

Assessment policy for learning outcomes
Based on the three policies of diploma, curriculum, and admissions, Kunitachi College of Music has established methods for measuring and evaluating students' learning outcomes at three levels: institutional level (College as a whole), curriculum level (faculty/graduate school), and subject level (course subject) in order to ensure the quality of education and to work toward continuous improvement.
- Institutional level
The achievement of learning outcomes will be verified based on student graduation/completion rates, absence/dropout rates, career path decisions after graduation/completion, and the results of various surveys. - Curriculum Level
The degree of achievement of learning outcomes will be verified based on the degree of attainment of graduation/completion requirements in the designated educational curriculum of the faculty/graduate school (credit acquisition status, GPA/grade distribution status, learning behavior survey, graduation research, dissertation (problem research), etc.), degree acquisition status, etc. - Subject Level
The degree to which learning outcomes have been achieved for each course will be verified based on the evaluation of the learning objectives set out in the syllabus and the results of class surveys.
Self-Inspection and Evaluation Policy
We will self-examine and evaluate the status of our educational and research activities in order to improve the standard of our education and research and to achieve its objectives and social mission.
